The M62/M543/M246/M819 Wrecker Truck specifically is equipped with a rotating, telescoping, and evelating hydraulic boom can lift up to 20,000lbs. The M62 had an Austin Western boom and the M543, had a Garwood boom. The boom can support up to 7000lbs when towing. The M62/M543/M246/M819 wreckers have the option of front and rear winches. The front winch is rated for up to 20,000lbs and the rear up to 45,000lbs. These trucks also have options of outriggers, boom braces, chocks, block and tackle, oxygen-acetylene torches, and other automotive tools.
